wikipedia
The winter sports park in Jeziorno, established thanks to the initiative of local residents, offers a 10-meter snow slide and is both free of charge and monitored. The village of Jeziorno, located in the Masovian Voivodeship, is known for its seasonal lake, which forms after snowmelt or heavy rainfall, covering an area of approximately 80 hectares. The reservoir is relatively small, with an average depth ranging from 1 to 3-4 meters. The municipality is also home to the Stromiecka Forest, an area rich in flora and fauna, including many protected species of plants and animals. This forest witnessed events from World War II, when partisans sought refuge within its depths. Traces of earlier times have also been preserved in the area, such as an inn that operated until the 1840s and was destroyed during World War II. In Jeziorno, there is a chapel dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the construction of which was initiated by Father Apolinary Cukrowski in 1940, demonstrating the strength of the local community during difficult times. The region is also home to various species of fish, and the surrounding forests are inhabited by wild animals such as wild boars, deer, and numerous birds. Jeziorno is a place with a rich history, reflecting both the needs of the local community and its attachment to tradition and religion.
