Kłoczew is a rural commune located in the Lublin Voivodeship, within Ryki County. The administrative seat of the commune is the town of Kłoczew, which historically, between 1975 and 1998, was part of the Siedlce Voivodeship. The commune covers an area of 143.17 km², of which 67% is agricultural land and 24% is forested. Kłoczew constitutes 23.26% of the total area of Ryki County. As of December 31, 2017, the commune was inhabited by 7,217 people, showing a slight decrease compared to the 7,409 residents recorded in 2004. In the demographic structure of the commune's inhabitants, one can expect age diversity, which is typical for rural areas of Poland. The commune of Kłoczew consists of numerous village administrations (sołectwa), including Borucicha, Gęsia Wólka, Jagodne, Kłoczew, and Zaryte, as well as many other localities.
