The Karlino Commune, located in the northwestern part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, is an urban-rural municipality with its seat in the town of Karlino. The commune covers an area of 141.03 km² and had a population of 9,182 at the end of 2017, accounting for 19.2% of the population of the Białogard County. The area is characterized by rich natural features, including the Parsęta and Radew rivers, which are accessible for kayaking. The commune is situated on the Białogard Plain, where 15% of the area is covered by forests and 78% is agricultural land. The commune is home to numerous historical monuments, such as palaces, manor houses, and churches, including the palace in Kozia Góra and the churches in Karścin and Karwin. In the cultural sphere, Karlino cooperates with international partners such as Dargun and Wolgast. The commune also includes subzones of special economic zones, which foster economic development. An important transport link is the provincial road No. 112, and the commune has also had railway connections since 1859. Karlino can be described as a place where history meets modernity, and local monuments and culture are an important part of the residents' identity.
