Kazanov

The Kazanów Commune, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within the Zwoleń County, with its seat in Kazanów, is an area rich in history and characterized by a distinct demographic and territorial structure. Before 1954, the commune was known as the Miechów Commune. According to data from June 30, 2004, the commune was inhabited by 4,704 people, while as of December 31, 2019, this number had decreased to 4,504. The commune covers an area of 94.76 km², dominated by agricultural land, which accounts for 80%, and forested areas, which cover 14% of the territory. Kazanów is a typical rural commune, with numerous village districts (sołectwa), including Borów, Dębniak, Dębnica, and Miechów, as well as many smaller localities such as Biedów, Budy, and Rochalina. In terms of architecture, the rural landscapes and traditional farmsteads reflect the local way of life, with a strong emphasis on agriculture, which plays a key role in the economy.
