Kiełczygłów is a rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship, located in the Pajęczno County, with its seat in the town of Kiełczygłów. The administrative history of the commune dates back to the territorial transformations in Poland, when between 1975 and 1998 it was part of the Sieradz Voivodeship. According to data from December 31, 2007, the commune had a population of 4,292. It covers an area of 88.80 km², of which 72% is agricultural land and 17% is forested. Kiełczygłów plays a significant role in the life of the local community, and its administrative structure includes 14 village districts, such as Brutus, Chorzew, Dąbrowa, and Kiełczygłów. The town of Kiełczygłów is also home to the football club LKS Kiełczygłów, which has been active since 1983, highlighting the cultural importance of sports in the region. Architecturally, the commune stands out with its historic buildings, including the Manor House in Kiełczygłów, which attracts both residents and tourists.
