Kiszkowo is a rural commune in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, located in the Gniezno County, on the Mała Wełna River. It has a population of 5,431 (as of 2020) and covers an area of 114.58 km², dominated by agricultural land and forests, which account for 8% of its territory. The seat of the commune is the village of Kiszkowo, which has been the center of a parish and a deanery since January 1, 2005. The commune borders Kłecko, Łubowo, Murowana Goślina, Pobiedziska, and Skoki. The natural attractions of the region include picturesque valleys and post-glacial lakes, such as Lake Lednica and Lake Turostowskie, which, despite limited accessibility, serve as recreational areas. The commune also features a system of fishponds, with the largest complex covering over 200 hectares. An interesting fact is the diverse terrain, with the highest point at 125.8 meters above sea level near Gniewkowo, and the ponds in Dąbrówka Kościelna, situated at about 80 meters above sea level. With its natural richness and traditional rural architecture, the Kiszkowo commune is an appealing destination for both tourists and residents.
