wikipedia
Klembów is a village located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Wołomin County. Its history dates back to pagan times, and the first records mention the settlement as part of the estates of the Masovian dukes. The parish of Klembów was established in the first half of the 14th century, and the founder of the first wooden church was Woliński. In the 17th century, the village was exposed to destruction during the Swedish wars, which repeatedly affected the fate of the church. A new brick church dedicated to St. Clement was built between 1823 and 1829, and it was expanded in the classicist style between 1885 and 1894 according to the design of W. Kamieński. The building is a single-nave structure on a Latin cross plan, featuring a distinctive quadrangular tower. The interior of the church is adorned with polychrome paintings by Jan Molga, and among its furnishings, the 17th-century main altar depicting the Mother of God of Klembów stands out. An interesting fact is that during World War II, Professor Ludwik Hirszfeld hid in Klembów. The village also features a wooden belfry from the first half of the 19th century. As the seat of the municipality, Klembów provides easy access to local institutions such as the church, school, and playground, underscoring its importance in the region.
