The Municipality of Kocmyrzów-Luborzyca, located in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship within the Kraków County, was established on January 1, 1973, and covers an area of 80.8 km². It comprises numerous villages, including Baranówka, Czulice, and Luborzyca, the latter being the municipal seat. According to demographic data, the municipality had a population of 16,020 as of the end of 2020. In recent years, it has become a venue for significant cultural events; the Center for Culture and Promotion, operating since 1976, organizes events such as the "Municipal Regional Cuisine Competition" and the "Municipal Harvest Festival." The municipality is home to numerous heritage sites listed in the national register, including manor houses and churches that reflect its rich history. Among the most notable architectural landmarks are the Manor in Baranówka, churches in Czulice and Goszcza, and manor complexes in Wilków and Kocmyrzów. Dominated by agricultural land (87%), the municipality is largely a green area, which shapes its character and the lifestyle of its residents. In 2013, part of the municipality was incorporated into Kraków, highlighting the dynamic development of the region. An interesting fact is that some of the organized events have a long-standing tradition, underscoring the strong ties of the residents to local culture and history.
