The pier in Kołobrzeg, located in the Health Resort District on Mickiewicza Street, is a modern reinforced concrete structure measuring 220 meters in length and 9 meters in width, with the walking deck situated 4.5 meters above sea level. The facility was opened on June 19, 1971, and at the end of the pier, there is a two-level head that serves as a harbor for small excursion ships. It is in close proximity to the Stefan Żeromski Park and the Bałtyk Sanatorium, making it an important point on the tourist map of Kołobrzeg. The historical aspects of the pier date back to 1881, when the first T-shaped wooden pier was built near the Strandschloß Sanatorium. This pier, measuring about 100 meters, was destroyed during World War II. In 2014, the pier underwent a major renovation costing 3 million złoty, and modern lighting illumination enhances its appeal, especially in the evening. The pier not only serves recreational and walking purposes but also constitutes an important cultural element, attracting tourists and residents to enjoy the charms of Kołobrzeg's seaside landscape.
