Konstancin Graduation Tower

The Konstancin-Jeziorna Graduation Tower is a brine inhalatorium built between 1974 and 1979 in the Spa Park. Its architecture is characterized by a unique design, where the mushroom-shaped inhalator is located inside a closed circle with a circumference of 140 meters and a height of 6 meters. The graduation tower uses brine with a concentration of 6.49%, extracted from a depth of 1,600 meters. The discovery of the brine sources took place in 1962, which contributed to the development of the spa in this region. The tower serves a therapeutic role, offering various inhalation options – spending 15–20 minutes near the inhalator, 30–60 minutes inside the tower, and 2–3 hours in its surroundings. Entrance to the tower is paid, but the surrounding Spa Park is generally accessible. From a cultural perspective, the graduation tower is an important element of the local spa tradition, and its popularity attracts both patients and tourists. Interestingly, brine inhalations can provide health benefits, especially in the treatment of respiratory conditions. Thus, the Konstancin Graduation Tower is a significant point on the map of Polish spas, combining elements of architecture, history, and health culture.
