Kosów Lacki is an urban-rural municipality located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Sokołów County, with its administrative seat in the town of Kosów Lacki. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Siedlce Voivodeship. According to data from June 30, 2004, Kosów Lacki had a population of 6,784. The municipality covers an area of 200.17 km², of which 64% is agricultural land and 27% is forested. It occupies 17.69% of the county's total area. The municipality comprises numerous villages, including Albinów, Bojary, Buczyn Szlachecki, Chruszczewka Włościańska, Dębe, Grzymały, Guty, Kosów Ruski, and many others. There is also one locality without village status: Kosów-Hulidów.
