Koziegłowy is an urban-rural municipality located in the Silesian Voivodeship, within the Myszków County. Its administrative seat is the town of Koziegłowy. The municipality covers an area of 159.16 km², the majority of which is agricultural land (71%), while 20% is forested. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Częstochowa Voivodeship. As of June 30, 2004, it was inhabited by 14,456 people. Koziegłowy and its surrounding villages, such as Cynków, Gniazdów, Lgota Górna, and Winowno, are characterized by a rich demographic structure. Historically, the region was a well-known settlement area, and its development has been closely tied to agriculture.
