Krasne

Krasne, formerly the Zalesie municipality, is a rural commune in the Masovian Voivodeship, located in the Przasnysz County. The seat of the local government is located in a village of the same name. The commune, covering an area of 100.94 km², is predominantly used for agriculture (89%), with a small amount of forested land (4%). It constitutes 8.29% of the total area of Przasnysz County. According to data from June 30, 2004, Krasne was inhabited by 3,899 people. The commune is rich in village administrative units (sołectwa), including Bartołdy, Filipy, Kozin, Krasne-Elżbiecin, and Rączki.
