Krośniewice

Krośniewice is an urban-rural municipality located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Kutno County, with its seat in Krośniewice. The municipality has rich historical traditions and, administratively, between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Płock Voivodeship. It covers an area of 94.71 km², of which 89% is agricultural land. In 2007, the municipality had a population of 8,983, which decreased to 8,520 by 2017. The Roman Catholic Church dominates here, with three parishes, but there is also a presence of the Mariavite Church, reflecting the region's religious diversity. An interesting cultural aspect of the municipality is the community's involvement in local religious life and traditions associated with both Catholic and Mariavite circles.
