Krokowa is a rural municipality located in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, within the Puck County, with its seat in the town of Krokowa. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality belonged to the Gdańsk Voivodeship. Within its borders lies the once-active Kashubian fishing settlement of Piaśnica, situated on the Baltic Sea, within the present-day Coastal Landscape Park. The municipality covers an area of 211.83 km², of which 54% is agricultural land and 32% is forested. Krokowa is a significant part of Puck County, constituting 36.84% of its area. Demographic data from 2011 show that the municipality had a stable population, and its age structure is illustrated in the 2014 population pyramid. The mayors of Krokowa have included Kazimierz Plocke, who is currently a member of parliament, Henryk Doering, and Ireneusz Wiśniewski, who served as a commissioner administrator. The municipality is characterized by rich flora and fauna, and within its area are numerous nature reserves, such as Bielawskie Błoto and the Babnica Nature Reserve. An interesting fact is the municipality's proximity to the Baltic Sea and its landscape diversity, which attracts tourists. In addition to its administrative villages, the municipality also includes non-administrative settlements such as Dąbrowa, Glinki, and Szary Dwór. Krokowa borders other municipalities, including Choczewo and Puck, which provides additional transport links and opportunities for regional cooperation.
