Krzeszów is a rural commune in the Nisko County of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, with its seat located in the town of Krzeszów. The history of the commune dates back to the Tsarist administrative reforms of 1864, when it was established as part of the Biłgoraj County in the Lublin Governorate. In 1973, the commune was reestablished following its division into smaller administrative units (gromady) in 1954. After the administrative reforms of 1975 and 1999, it became part of the present-day Nisko County. According to data at the end of 2020, the commune had a population of 4,228. Its area spans 62.38 km², largely covered by agricultural land (82%) and forests (6%), accounting for 7.94% of the total area of Nisko County. The commune includes the villages of Bystre, Kamionka, Krzeszów, and Podolszynka, and it borders the communes of Harasiuki, Kuryłówka, and Leżajsk.
