Krzykosy is a rural municipality located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, within the Środa Wielkopolska County, with its administrative seat in the village of Krzykosy. From 1975 to 1998, the municipality belonged to the Poznań Voivodeship. Covering an area of 110.46 km², the municipality lies within the protected landscape area of the Warta-Obradówka Pradolina, characterized by flat, lowland terrain elevated at 60–75 meters above sea level. The Warta River forms the southern border of the municipality, emphasizing its agricultural character. According to demographic data, the municipality had 6,721 inhabitants in 2011, and by 2017, the population had increased to 7,027, indicating positive development trends in the region. With 63% of its land dedicated to agricultural use and 28% to forests, the area reflects a diverse economic structure. An interesting fact is that Krzykosy borders five municipalities: Książ Wielkopolski, Miłosław, Nowe Miasto nad Wartą, Środa Wielkopolska, and Zaniemyśl, which fosters interregional communication and cooperation.
