W skrócie

wikipedia
Leśnica Castle is a historic princely residence, built in 1132 as a defensive stronghold, repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. In 1339, after being incorporated into the Kingdom of Bohemia, it became the seat of Wrocław burghers. The castle survived World War II, but a fire in 1953 led to its reconstruction as a community center, now known as the "Zamek" Cultural Center. The brick building has a two-wing, three-story structure and is surrounded by a moat with bastion fortifications. Relics from 1271 were found in the cellars. Between 1735 and 1740, the castle was rebuilt in the Baroque style and later transformed into Rococo by Baron Ferdinand von Mudrach from 1752 to 1757. The castle hosted notable figures, including King Maximilian II of Habsburg and Frederick the Great. After World War II, it was abandoned and later converted into a cultural center. Legend has it that its walls are haunted by the ghost of Horacy von Forno, who ordered the brutal suppression of peasant protests in the 17th century. Today, it is not only a place of entertainment but also of culture, blending rich history with contemporary activities.
