Lubliniec Castle, located at 40 Grunwaldzka Street, boasts a rich history dating back to 1397, when it was owned by Duke Władysław Opolczyk. Over the centuries, it passed through the hands of various owners, including the Habsburgs and the Kochcicki family, who purchased the castle in 1587 and carried out a thorough reconstruction. In the 17th century, the castle witnessed numerous events, such as the stay of King Władysław IV Vasa and the sheltering of the Jasna Góra painting in 1655, highlighting its cultural and religious significance. In the 18th century, the building acquired a classicist appearance, and the last major renovations took place in the 20th century when the castle became part of a psychiatric hospital. After World War II, in 1960, the castle was entered into the register of historical monuments. In 1999, the "Lubliniec Castle Foundation" was established to oversee its restoration. After being taken over by the city in 2002, the castle was renovated, and in 2010, the "Hotel Zamek Lubliniec" was opened. Today, the building, owned by Hotel ZL Sp. z o.o., combines historical elements with modern hotel functions, making it an important landmark for culture and tourism in the region.
