Luboń is a city in Poland, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, which was established on November 13, 1954, through the merger of three villages: Luboń, Żabikowo, and Lasek. The city is characterized by high population density and a developed industrial sector, primarily chemical and construction industries. The history of Luboń dates back to the 14th century, and for many centuries, the area was part of the estate of Poznań. An interesting fact is the establishment of Blessed Edmund Bojanowski as the city's patron saint in 2023. Luboń is part of the Poznań metropolitan area, borders the Wielkopolski National Park, and boasts a well-developed transportation network, including the A2 highway and railway lines. In terms of architecture, the city features numerous historic sites, such as the St. Philip Neri Primary School and the Luvena factory complex, which testifies to the region's industrial history.
