Lutocin is a rural commune located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within Żuromin County. The administrative seat of the commune is the town of Lutocin. The history of the commune is tied to administrative changes, as until 1998 it was part of the Ciechanów Voivodeship. From a demographic perspective, in 2004 the commune had 4,656 inhabitants, and by the end of 2017 this number had dropped to 4,331.
