Lututów is an urban-rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Wieruszów County. It is primarily located in the historic ziemia wieluńska (Land of Wieluń), while its northern part belongs to ziemia sieradzka (Land of Sieradz). The commune, with the town of Lututów as its seat, regained its town status on January 1, 2020. Its history dates back to the times of the Kingdom of Poland, when it belonged to the Wieluń County in the Kalisz Governorate. In 1870, Lututów, which had lost its town rights, was incorporated into the commune. The area is predominantly agricultural, focused mainly on food production, particularly grains and cattle breeding. Beekeeping is also developing in the region, which may be of interest to enthusiasts of local crafts. The commune covers an area of 75.13 km², of which 83% is agricultural land and 12% is forested, highlighting the importance of agriculture in the local economy. In the northern part of the commune lies Lake Ług, located on the border with the Klonowa Commune. Demographic data from 2004 shows that the commune was inhabited by 4,827 people, indicating a stable population. Lututów borders the communes of Biała, Czarnożyły, Galewice, Klonowa, Ostrówek, Sokolniki, and Złoczew.
