wikipedia
Lasowice Małe is a village located in the Opole Voivodeship, in Upper Silesia, on the Bogacica River. The name of the locality was once represented in German as Klein Lassowitz. The first mentions of the village date back to 1292, when it belonged to the Duchy of Opole. The village underwent various changes in state affiliation, being part of, among others, the Habsburg Monarchy, the Kingdom of Prussia, and the Third Reich, and after World War II, it became part of Poland. In the 18th/19th century, Lasowice Małe gained the status of a municipality, and its development was aided by the opening of a railway station in 1868. Architecturally, the village is distinguished by landmarks such as a wooden filial church from 1688, originally Evangelical, with Baroque furnishings, and a 17th-century manor house, now in ruins. There is also a 19th-century granary and numerous residential buildings from the same period. After World War II, the village was dominated by the State Agricultural Farm (PGR), and today its inhabitants mainly work in Western European countries. The culture in Lasowice Małe gained importance thanks to the initiative of the Lasowice House of Tolerance and Culture, which organizes various educational and cultural events. Additionally, the village is located within the protected landscape area of the Stobrawsko-Turawskie Forests, and its surroundings include valuable natural sites such as Lake Czarne. Lasowice Małe is an example of a place where modernity harmoniously combines with rich history and natural diversity, making it attractive both to tourists and residents.
