Malanów

Malanów Commune, with its seat in Malanów, is located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, in Turek County. Its area, covering 107.17 km², includes 17 village districts (sołectwa) and is characterized by diverse terrain shaped by the Middle Polish glaciation. The notable absence of natural lakes and a modest river network define the landscape of the commune, which is dominated by plains and kame hills. The soils, mostly of poor quality, are not conducive to intensive agricultural production. Historically, Malanów Commune has undergone several reorganizations, and since its reinstatement in 1973, it has belonged to the Konin Voivodeship. The commune authorities are engaged in development activities, but the main sources of income are agriculture and local companies, such as "Sun Garden." Malanów is also a cultural hub, with institutions like the Center for Culture and Art and the Commune Public Library, which organize numerous events, including Malanów Days and folk festivals. The commune boasts a rich collection of monuments: a wooden parish church dedicated to St. Stanislaus and St. Nicholas, a bell tower, windmills, and other architectural structures.
