wikipedia
Malinowska Skała, standing at an elevation of 1,152 meters above sea level, is a pivotal peak in the main ridge of the Barania Góra and Skrzyczne Range in the Silesian Beskids. Its surroundings and geological structure form a unique feature of this region. The massif of Malinowska Skała is composed of conglomerates, characteristic of the uppermost layers of the Godula Formation, making it part of the geological heritage of the Silesian Beskids. The geological significance is highlighted not only by fine- and medium-grained quartz conglomerates but also by intriguing weathering forms visible on the rock outcrop known as Malinowska Skała, measuring 6 × 14 × 5 meters. Discovered in 1979, the Malinka Cave and a natural pond on the northwestern slopes of the mountain add to the natural richness of this site. The history of Malinowska Skała is linked to bouldering, which developed here until 1977 when the outcrop was designated as a protected inanimate nature monument. Malinowska Skała is featured in numerous travel publications and postcards, underscoring its cultural and touristic importance in the region. Hiking trails leading to the summit offer diverse routes with walking times adapted to hikers' fitness levels, making it accessible to visitors of various abilities. Situated at the junction of the borders of three towns—Wisła, Szczyrk, and Lipowa—Malinowska Skała not only captivates nature enthusiasts but also serves as a key point on the tourist map of the Silesian Beskids, blending geological, natural, and cultural values into one harmonious whole.
