wikipedia
Międzygórze, a picturesque village located in the Lower Silesian Kłodzko County, is an attractive tourist and recreational destination with a rich history and unique architecture. Situated in the Śnieżnik Massif, in the valley of the Wilczka stream, it rises to an altitude of 570–670 meters above sea level. The village is home to approximately 30 holiday homes and guesthouses, including distinctive wooden buildings in the Tyrolean style. Międzygórze is known for its numerous hiking trails that lead to beautiful sites such as the Wilczka Waterfall, which was once the highest in the Sudetes, and the pilgrimage church on Igliczna Mountain, where a statue of Our Lady of the Snows is located. This monument, along with historic urban layouts and the 18th-century wooden parish church of St. Joseph the Bridegroom, enriches the cultural offerings of the region. Międzygórze gained popularity as a climatic resort thanks to Princess Marianne of the Netherlands in the 19th century, and after World War II, it transformed into a Polish health resort. Characteristic architectural elements, besides the wooden guesthouses, include temples and sanatoriums, which are testaments to the former health treatments and medical tourism. The nearby Stefan Żeromski Strict Nature Reserve not only protects nature but also serves as a training ground for special forces units. Międzygórze is also a venue for cultural events; popular TV series have been filmed here. The diverse surroundings, including beech and spruce forests, as well as numerous rock formations, make the region attractive to nature lovers. This incredibly charming place invites visitors to explore and discover its rich history.
