Miastkowo

Miastkowo is a rural municipality located in the Podlaskie Voivodeship, within the Łomża County, with its administrative seat in a locality of the same name. Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Łomża Voivodeship. The municipality covers an area of 114.84 km², of which 62% is agricultural land and 30% is forested, making it 8.48% of the total area of the county. Miastkowo has a rich demographic history, as illustrated by data from the 1921 National Census, which recorded a population of 4,560 people. The majority of residents were Roman Catholic, though other religious communities, including Judaism, were also present.
