Mikołajki is an urban-rural municipality located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, within Mrągowo County, with its administrative seat in the town of Mikołajki. According to data from December 2006, the municipality was inhabited by 8,410 people, and by the end of 2019, this number had decreased to 8,131. Mikołajki covers an area of 256.41 km², of which 48% is agricultural land and 22% is forest land, highlighting the region's natural richness.
