The Military University of Technology named after Jarosław Dąbrowski (WAT) is a public technical university based in Warsaw, established in 1951. Its organizational structure includes the command, the senate, and a number of faculties, such as Cybernetics, Electronics, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Security, Logistics and Management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Armament and Aviation, and New Technologies and Chemistry. WAT educates students in over 90 specializations within military, civilian, and doctoral studies, with an emphasis on military technology and national security. The university actively cooperates with industry and participates in international research projects related to cryptography, cybersecurity, threat monitoring, and other fields of modern technology. WAT has a well-developed teaching and research base, including specialized laboratories. In the past, the university transformed from a strictly military institution into a civilian-military one, offering programs in English, which aligns with its mission to strengthen its position as an educational and research center for the Polish Armed Forces. Interestingly, in 2023, WAT received the "Pro Patria" Medal for promoting patriotism. The rector is Brig. Gen. Prof. Dr. Hab. Eng. Przemysław Wachulak, and the university continues to develop its areas of education and scientific research, adapting to the needs of modern technology and security.
