Missionary Museum in Miejscu Piastowym

The Missionary Museum of the Michaelite Sisters in Miejscowe Piastowe, established in 2006, is located in the General House of the Michaelite Sisters at the Sanctuary of St. Michael the Archangel. The institution was consecrated by Archbishop Ignacy Tokarczuk and aims to showcase the missionary work of the sisters in Africa, particularly in Libya and Cameroon. The museum's collections consist of a variety of artifacts, including traditional clothing, ornaments, masks, musical instruments, everyday objects, and toys, which illustrate local cultures and customs. One of the rooms features an exhibition dedicated to Sister Anna Kaworek, co-founder of the Congregation, while another room is adorned with memorabilia related to St. John Paul II and Blessed Father Bronisław Markiewicz, adding to its appeal and historical significance. It is also worth noting that visiting the museum is only possible by prior telephone arrangement, which gives it an exclusive character and offers a unique opportunity for a personal encounter with the history of the missions.
