The municipality of Błędów, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within Grójec County, covers an area of 134.23 km², dominated by agricultural land (90%) and forests (5%). Between 1975 and 1998, the municipality was part of the Radom Voivodeship. With its seat in the town of Błędów, the municipality reflects the rich cultural and historical life of the region. It was home to the outstanding artist and painter Professor Wojciech Fangor, which constitutes an important element of its cultural identity. Demographically, in 2010 the municipality had 7,768 inhabitants, and by the end of 2019 this number had decreased to 7,415. The structure of its villages includes Błędów, Bielany, and Dąbrówka, among others, as well as non-village settlements such as Potencjanów and Sakówka. The municipality borders areas such as Belsk Duży and Mszczonów, highlighting its strategic location. As part of Masovia, Błędów maintains a unique character in harmony with nature and traditional rural life, and its attractiveness significantly contributes to the development of local communities.
