Mniszków is a rural commune in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Opoczno County, with its seat located in Mniszków. The commune covers an area of 124.16 km², of which 59% is agricultural land and 33% is forest land. Mniszków is not only home to 4,754 people (according to 2007 data), but also an area attractive for its natural environment. It is home to nature reserves, including Błogie, Gaik, and Jaksonek, which protect diverse ecosystems, including fir tree stands and locations of the northern shinleaf. The commune has an interesting history, having previously belonged to the Radonia commune, and from 1975 to 1998 it was part of the Piotrków Voivodeship. Mniszków also stands out due to the presence of a subzone of the Starachowice Special Economic Zone, which may contribute to the development of the local economy. It is worth adding that the Mniszków commune borders communes such as Aleksandrów, Paradyż, Sławno, Sulejów, Tomaszów Mazowiecki, and Wolbórz, creating opportunities for cooperation and regional development. Settlements within the commune include, among others, Błogie Rządowe, Bukowiec nad Pilicą, Duży Potok, and Jawor-Kolonia, reflecting a rich structure of localities.
