Mountain Hut at Hala Górowa

Hala Górowa Tent Base, situated at an altitude of 1134 meters above sea level in the Żywiec Beskids, is an ideal place for tourists and students to relax. Its architecture is based on a traditional wooden shepherd's hut, which has been adapted for accommodation, offering 60 sleeping spots in the building and in multi-person tents. Guests also have the option to pitch their own tents in the open space. The facility features a shared tourist kitchen and a warm shower, which operates by heating a "koza" stove, creating an intimate, mountain atmosphere. The base was established in 1985 by the Student Circle of Beskid Guides in Katowice and to this day maintains its academic traditions, serving as a meeting and expedition point for youth and mountain enthusiasts. The base's operation during the summer season, from mid-June to mid-September, fosters social integration and promotes an active lifestyle among students and tourists. Hala Górowa is also a convenient starting point for hiking trips, including to Pilsko, and is located near the Main Beskid Trail, making it an attractive destination for hikers. Access to the base is via hiking trails, including the green trail from Sopotnia Wielka and the black trail from Korbielów, making it easy to reach this picturesque location. An interesting feature is the so-called "Archduke's Path," which offers an alternative route from the Buczynka Valley, though it is unmarked, providing an opportunity to explore less frequented trails. Hala Górowa is a place that combines the architectural merits of traditional buildings, cultural events related to mountain tourism, and a rich history that continues to be written with each visit by tourists and students. The base is not only a lodging point but also a bridge between nature and people, fostering new friendships and the discovery of the beauty of the Beskids.
