Multimedia Fountain in Wrocław

The Multimedia Fountain in Wrocław is an impressive architectural structure, being the largest fountain in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. It was created as part of the renovation of the pergola near the Centennial Hall and opened on June 9, 2009, on the 20th anniversary of the June elections. The fountain consists of 182 dynamic nozzles and 88 water-foaming nozzles, as well as three flame nozzles, creating a variety of water effects. In the water, there are 328 lamps that illuminate the streams, making the shows spectacular both during the day and after dark. In the center of the pond, there is a geyser that shoots water up to 40 meters high, which is only 2 meters less than the height of the Centennial Hall itself. The construction cost of the fountain was 10 million złoty. The fountain is an integral part of Szczytnicki Park, located near the Centennial Hall, which was designed by architects Max Berg and Hans Poelzig for the Centennial Exhibition in 1913. The water reservoir in which the fountain is located has an area of about one hectare and is surrounded by a pergola, adding to its charm and appeal. Fountain shows take place from April to October, with a grand finale at the end of the season, when famous classical and rock music pieces are incorporated into the musical spectacles, making these events unique and attracting numerous viewers.
