The Museum of Artistic and Precision Crafts, also known as the Clock Museum, is located in Warsaw at Piekarska Street, in the picturesque part of the Old Town. It is housed in a mid-19th-century tenement building that was rebuilt between 1959 and 1961 with contributions from local craftsmen. The building's architecture is particularly notable for its facade, which features a decorative chiming clock that plays melodies set to the poems of Maria Konopnicka. Established in 1966 on the initiative of the Guild of Goldsmiths, Watchmakers, Opticians, Engravers, and Bronze Workers, the museum boasts a rich collection of clocks from the 18th to the 20th centuries, as well as other exhibits related to artistic craftsmanship, such as watchmaking tools and examination works by Warsaw artisans. The museum's collections also include sculptures, bronze plaques, medals, and optical glass. The museum is open to visitors only by prior arrangement, making it a unique destination for exploring the traditions of artistic craftsmanship in Warsaw.
