The Museum of Milling and Water Devices of Rural Industry is an institution located in Jaracz, near Oborniki, operating as a branch of the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in Szreniawa. The museum was opened in 1981 on the site of a historic mill, whose traditions date back to 1449. The museum complex consists of three historic buildings: a water mill from around 1871 with machinery from the 1920s, a reconstructed mill stable, and the miller's house. The exhibitions showcase various aspects of milling—from industrial milling technology to traditional grain processing, as well as the socio-economic history of the profession. The mill operated until 1976, when grinding production ceased. The museum is engaged in educational activities, offering lessons on topics such as ecological energy and the history of milling. The site also features a hydroelectric power plant from 1997, a kayak dock, and cycling trails, making it an attractive destination for tourists. The museum is also registered as a historical monument, highlighting its regional significance—the mill settlement in Jaracz was entered into the register of monuments on December 30, 1993. The museum can be reached via a side road from national road No. 11 or by bicycle from the nearest railway stop in Parkowo, located about 2 km away.
