Rogoźno is an urban-rural municipality in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, located in Oborniki County, with its administrative seat in the town of the same name. The municipality boasts a rich history dating back to ancient times. Between 1975 and 1998, Rogoźno belonged to the Piła Voivodeship. According to data from 2011, the municipality had 18,237 inhabitants, and by 2017, this number had increased to 18,265. The total area of the municipality is 217.95 km², dominated by agricultural land (63.47%) and forests (26.40%). Rogoźno covers 30.58% of the area of Oborniki County. Rogoźno has a well-developed and diverse educational structure, including kindergartens, primary schools, middle schools, and secondary schools, such as the Przemysł II High School and the Agribusiness School Complex. The Rogoźno City Council for the 2018-2023 term consists of 15 councilors, with Łukasz Zaranek serving as chairman. The municipality borders other municipalities, such as Budzyń, Murowana Goślina, Oborniki, Ryczywół, Skoki, and Wągrowiec, which fosters cultural exchange and regional cooperation. It is also worth noting that Rogoźno is a place full of local traditions and events that contribute to community integration and cohesion.
