Museum of Technology and Military Equipment in Rzeszów

The Museum of Technology and Military Equipment in Rzeszów, opened in May 2011, is located on the grounds of the former Railway School Complex and operates under the patronage of the President of Rzeszów, Tadeusz Ferenc, and the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw. It was founded by General Tomasz Bąk, former commander of the 21st Podhale Rifles Brigade. The museum aims to preserve the heritage of technology and military equipment, as well as to provide education in these fields. Its collections include a variety of exhibits related to motoring, applied technology, and the military. Among the most interesting objects are classic Polish cars, such as the Syrena, Warszawa, and Fiat 125, as well as motorcycles like the Junak and Jawa. The museum also features interesting household appliances and audio-visual equipment, along with classic devices such as irons, washing machines, and record players, which illustrate the development of technology in Poland. Among the military exhibits, the T-34/85 tank and the Su-17 and TS-11 Iskra aircraft stand out, attracting the attention of military enthusiasts. The museum, which requires prior arrangement for visits, plays an important role in promoting technical and military culture, as well as in preserving the memory of the history of Polish motoring and military affairs, making it an interesting place to visit for enthusiasts and those interested in history.
