wikipedia
Nadwieprzański Landscape Park, located in the Lublin Voivodeship on the Świdnik Plateau and the Dorohucka Depression, surrounds the middle course of the Wieprz River, from the mouth of the Giełczew River to the mouth of the Bystrzyca River. The park, which initially covered 44.32 km², now spans 62.28 km² after expansion. The buffer zone of the park is 114.73 km². This region is characterized by picturesque river gorges, where steep slopes reach heights of up to 25 meters, and exposed Cretaceous formations are visible on their surface. The Nadwieprzański Landscape Park features diverse ecosystems, including pine forests, riparian forests, and sunlit slopes with xerothermic vegetation. Among the park's flora, one can find the spring adonis, the multiflowered anemone, the broad-leaved orchid, and the angled garlic. Nature conservation plans include the establishment of two forest reserves and two peatland floral reserves, highlighting the commitment to preserving the area's biodiversity. The park is not only a beautiful place to admire nature but also an important element of the region's cultural landscape, reflecting historical changes in land use. In the vicinity of the park, traces of human activity can be observed, such as traditional rural buildings and areas that have been associated with agriculture and craftsmanship for generations, adding to its tourist appeal. The Nadwieprzański Landscape Park is an ideal destination for both nature enthusiasts and those seeking peace and quiet amidst beautiful landscapes, making it an attractive year-round retreat.
