The municipality of Nowy Kawęczyn, located in the Łódź Voivodeship within the Skierniewice County, boasts a rich history and architectural diversity. It comprises 22 village districts (sołectwa), with Nowy Kawęczyn serving as the main settlement. The area is characterized by a typical post-glacial landscape, dominated by agricultural land, which covers 78% of its territory. Within the municipality's boundaries lie valuable natural areas, such as the Bolimowski Landscape Park and the Rawka Nature Reserve. These areas are home to numerous species of plants and animals, including beavers, roe deer, and birds such as storks and cranes.
Architecturally, the municipality takes pride in its wooden Church of Saints Simon and Jude from 1751 in Stara Rawa, as well as manor complexes in Trzcianna, Nowy Dwór, and Suliszew. Additionally, the area features an early medieval stronghold dating back to the 11th–12th centuries. Culturally, the residents preserve traditions and customs related to agriculture and local celebrations. An interesting fact is that some scenes of the popular series "Czterej pancerni i pies" (Four Tank-Men and a Dog) were filmed at the nearby military training ground in Raducz.
With a population of 3,370 at the end of 2019, the municipality also has numerous undeveloped areas covered in lush greenery, including wetlands, which attract a diverse range of flora and fauna. The moderate climate of the region supports agricultural cultivation, and its natural richness is an additional asset.
