wikipedia
Niechobrz is a village in Poland, located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, near Rzeszów. Its history dates back to the second half of the 14th century, with the first mention in a document from 1373. The village was initially owned by the Lelewit Jarosławski and Tarnowski families. Over the years, it changed hands, including owners such as the Lubomirski and Skrzyński families. As early as the 14th century, Niechobrz was known for the extraction of Miocene stone used in sculpture. In the 18th century, there were inns and mills here, and the village had extensive agricultural and forest areas. In the 19th century, Niechobrz was a developing settlement with a school, which in 1890 was housed in a dedicated building. During the period of Galician autonomy, the village was enriched with cultural institutions such as agricultural circles and peasant theaters. In the 20th century, after World War II, industrialization began, and residents often found employment in nearby factories. Niechobrz is also the seat of the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, whose sanctuary attracts numerous pilgrims. The village is associated with various surnames of notable figures and events, making it an interesting place both historically and architecturally.
