The Ochaby Stud Farm, located in a picturesque area, is not only involved in horse breeding but also in fish farming and feed production. Its offerings include the breeding of Anglo-Arabian horses of French origin, Małopolski horses, and noble half-blood horses. The stud farm is based on 50 broodmares, some of which meet the requirements of the genetic conservation program for the Małopolski horse breed. A modern approach has been applied in the breeding process, combining Anglo-Arabian mares with sport stallions, resulting in horses that win awards on racetracks and in eventing competitions, including at the international level. The stud farm's grounds have a rich history; it was established on the site of the 18th-century Auer Hof estate and for many years was in the hands of the Habsburg princes of Cieszyn. The Ochaby Stud Farm is a continuation of the Pruchna Stud Farm, which was founded in 1952. The Anglo-Arabian horses, imported from France in 1947, ensured the development of breeding in the new location. Interestingly, the stallion Dekalog was a member of the Polish Olympic team in Athens in 2004. Adjacent to the stud farm is the Equestrian Sports Center, which organized show jumping competitions. After 1989, the stud farm was divided, and Ochaby came under the management of the Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury. In 2010, the area of the Equestrian Sports Center was transformed into an Amusement and Education Park, named Dream Park Ochaby, combining the attractions of a dinosaur park and a miniature park. Despite the changes, the stud farm continues its operations, and in 2012 it was taken over by private owners who committed to continuing the breeding activities.
