Old Babice

The municipality of Stare Babice, located in the Masovian Voivodeship within the West Warsaw County, is a place rich in history and characterized by a diverse demographic structure. The administrative seat of the municipality is Stare Babice, and as of 2023, it was home to 21,953 residents. Covering an area of 63.42 km², the municipality consists mainly of agricultural land (58%) and forests (19%). Situated on the edge of the Warsaw Basin and the Błońska Plain, the northern part of the municipality lies within the buffer zone of the Kampinos National Park, while the southern part retains its agricultural character, dominated by suburban housing. The municipality is traversed by provincial road No. 580 and local and suburban bus routes, ensuring good transport connections to Warsaw. The area includes numerous villages, such as Babice Nowe, Latchorzew, Lipków, and many others. Notable historical sites in the region include the War Cemetery in Latchorzew and the Manor House in Lipków. The municipality also offers local attractions, such as the Łosiowe Błota Nature Reserve in Klaudyn, which is a valuable area for nature conservation.
