The Warsaw West County, established in 1999, is located in the western part of the Masovian Voivodeship, with its capital in Ożarów Mazowiecki, where the county authorities were based until 2005. According to data from June 2020, the area was inhabited by 119,503 people. The county combines urban and rural functions, consisting of three towns: Błonie, Łomianki, and Ożarów Mazowiecki, as well as urban-rural and rural municipalities, including Izabelin, Kampinos, Leszno, and Stare Babice. Architecturally, the region is characterized by diversity, ranging from historic buildings to modern housing estates, with numerous monuments related to local history. Ożarów Mazowiecki, as the seat of authorities, offers residents access to infrastructure and cultural events, often organized by the local government or community institutions. Kampinos, adjacent to the county, is a popular recreational area, known for the Kampinos National Park, which plays a significant role in preserving local flora and fauna, as well as regional history, with many trails passing through areas associated with World War II. The Warsaw West County is surrounded by other counties, including Nowy Dwór, Legionowo, Pruszków, Grodzisk, and Sochaczew, fostering the development of local economic and cultural initiatives. The region hosts numerous local events, festivals, and cultural gatherings, providing excellent opportunities to explore local traditions and customs. An interesting fact is the dynamic development of transport infrastructure, including proximity to Warsaw, which attracts new residents and investments. Combining natural, architectural, and cultural assets, this county is becoming an increasingly popular place for both living and tourism.
