Olszanka

Olszanka is a rural commune located in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Łosice County. Between 1975 and 1998, it belonged to the Biała Podlaska Voivodeship. The seat of the commune is the village of Olszanka. As of June 30, 2004, the commune had a population of 3,239, indicating a small yet stable community. Olszanka covers an area of 87.34 km², dominated by agricultural land (82%) and forests (12%). The commune constitutes 11.32% of the total area of Łosice County. The region comprises 15 village administrative units, including Bejdy, Bolesty, Hadynów, and Pietrusy. Olszanka borders the communes of Huszlew, Łosice, Międzyrzec Podlaski, Mordy, and Zbuczyn, making it part of the local socio-economic network.
