Pakosławice

Pakosławice is a rural commune located in the Opole Voivodeship, within the Nysa County, with its administrative seat in the village of Pakosławice. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of a different administrative division, highlighting its changing historical and territorial affiliations. The commune is characterized by a significant share of agricultural land, which makes up as much as 78% of its total area, while forests cover only 12%. According to data from 2004, the population of the commune was 3,929, reflecting a small yet stable local community. Pakosławice comprises several village administrative units, known as sołectwa, including Biechów, Bykowice, and Słupice, along with other smaller settlements, giving it a diverse and scattered structure. The commune borders other municipalities, such as Grodków and Nysa, which fosters opportunities for regional cooperation and cultural exchange.
