The municipality of Paradyż, formerly known as the municipality of Wielka Wola, is a rural administrative unit located in the Łódź Voivodeship, within the Opoczno County. Its seat is in the town of Paradyż. The municipality covers an area of 81.39 km², of which 78% is agricultural land and 16% is forested, reflecting its agricultural character and natural landscape. Between 1975 and 1998, it was part of the Piotrków Voivodeship. From a demographic perspective, in 2007, the municipality was home to 4,434 people, and by 2019, this number had decreased to 4,354 residents. The municipality is well-connected, with the national road No. 74 passing through its territory, facilitating transport and accessibility.
