Pawłów

Pawłów Commune, with its seat in Pawłów, is the most populous rural commune in the Starachowice County, located in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. Historically, the commune has undergone changes in its boundaries and status, and before 1954 it functioned as the Rzepin Commune. Pawłów is situated in the northeastern part of the Old-Polish Industrial Region, within the area of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and the Suchedniów Plateau, which favors agricultural development. The commune covers an area of 137.39 km², of which 77% is agricultural land. Within its territory lies the Sieradowicki Landscape Park and the Wióry Reservoir, which are attractions for tourists. The commune is rich in historical agricultural traditions, and its inhabitants are predominantly engaged in farming. Pawłów Commune is also known for several educational institutions, including 5 primary schools and numerous kindergartens, where education plays a key role. The modern infrastructure of the commune includes water supply, sewage, and gas networks, reflecting its development and adaptation to the needs of its residents. Architecturally, single-family buildings and farmsteads dominate, while multi-family housing is limited. The commune is characterized by social activity, with numerous Volunteer Fire Departments (OSPs) ensuring the safety of the residents. An interesting fact is the appearance of a wind farm with five turbines, indicating growing interest in renewable energy sources. The economy is dominated by services, including industrial and transport enterprises, with the number of registered businesses standing at 796, reflecting growing business activity. The commune's revenues come mainly from local taxes, and EU programs support investments.
