Pobierowo is a seaside holiday village with a rich history, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the municipality of Rewal. With medieval origins, first mentioned in 1368, the village was a fief of the von Kleist family until the 18th century. Over the years, the transformation of the agricultural settlement into a resort began in the 19th century, and in 1907 the first beach hotel was established. The greatest development of tourism took place in the interwar period, when Pobierowo became a favorite vacation spot for Berliners, resulting in the construction of numerous holiday homes. The area delights with sandy beaches, cliffs, and pine forests, contributing to its tourist appeal. The village offers a variety of accommodation and dining facilities. Pobierowo also stands out with the Blue Flag certification, which attests to high ecological standards. An important part of the cultural life includes organized festivals, sports tournaments, and concerts. The village has a developed sports infrastructure, including recreational complexes, as well as a local youth hostel. Pobierowo has one Roman Catholic parish, and its community is involved in organizing local events. Communication with other cities is provided by local bus lines. Additionally, the village offers various health services and safety thanks to the Volunteer Fire Department and lifeguards. An interesting fact is that during the Polish People's Republic, Pobierowo was a popular vacation spot for factory workers, and after the war, the numerous holiday homes were taken over by the Employee Vacation Fund in terms of attractiveness. Currently, Pobierowo has about 1,116 residents, and its infrastructure and natural attractions draw tourists year-round.
