Promna is a rural commune in the Masovian Voivodeship, within the Białobrzegi County, with its seat located in a village of the same name. The commune is picturesquely situated and covers an area of 120.74 km², of which 88% is agricultural land and 6% is forested. In 2006, the commune had a population of 5,841, and according to data from the end of 2019, the number of inhabitants was 5,555. Demographically, Promna accounts for 17.0% of the population of Białobrzegi County. The economy of Promna is primarily based on agriculture, which aligns with the rural traditions of this part of Poland.
